Everybody Does It

When I'm exhausted, there are few things I love more than to just plop on the floor on my back and lay there until I decide to get up! Everybody does it...even animals. In fact, after an exhausting day of "not bothering" the cat by putting his but in the cat's face, I caught my dog just plopped on the floor on his back chilling. Then a few minutes later, after a long day of "not being bothered" by the dog, I caught my cat doing the same thing! It goes to show, relaxing is universal.

NBA Playoffs, also known as MAYHEM!

The NBA playoffs are going on right now and one of my favorite teams, the Brooklyn Nets, are not doing as well as they should be. They are matched up against the Chicago Bulls in the first round. They started off the series doing really well with a convincing win in game one. Games two and three were won by the Bulls with the Nets superstar, Deron Williams, having a rough go of it. Game four was a heart breaking loss in which the Nets lost a double digit lead in the final 3 minutes of regulation and ended up going in to overtime. After a total of 3 overtimes, the Nets were defeated. Being down 3 games to 1 in a best of seven series would cause a lot of people to panic, but I didn't give up hope. Game five came around and the Nets played very well and won by 19 points. With the series now at 3 games to 2, the Nets will play in Chicago on Thursday to keep their hopes of advancing to the second round alive.

To Eat or not to Eat? That is the Question.

Several months ago my husband and I wanted to try a restaurant in town that we had never been to before, so we chose Centro Wood Fire Pizza. Husband had heard that they make their own sausage there, so naturally we had to try it. We asked our server what pizzas were most popular and ended up ordering a half sausage, half arugula pizza. BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD!!! We loved it so much that we couldn't wait to try the other types of pizzas and came back a few days later. This time we ordered a half pepperoni style pizza and half pizza blanca. IT WAS AWFUL!!! We were blown away by how different our two experiences were. To this day we still go to Centro Wood Fire Pizza every other week and order the amazing sausage and arugula pizza. Had we ordered the pepperoni and pizza blanca that we didn't like on our very first visit, we never ever ever would have gone back to try anything else. Luckily, fate smiled upon us and we found the best pizza that either of us have ever had.

Back That Thing Up!

Few things will get a dog to walk backwards and push you with its butt...In my house, all you have to be is a cat. My dog Henry is a half mini Pomeranian with a hilarious personality. He has been trained well not to attack cats or bite them, but its nearly impossible to keep a dog from going after a cat. The best way to get away with bothering a cat without getting caught is to act like your doing something that doesn't concern the cat while simultaneously getting closer to the cat with your butt until you nearly push it over! Atleast that is what Henry thinks. Any cat that comes into my home will be victimized and pushed around by a stealth butt. Be warned!

Stress City

That is where I am living right now!

This month I have two large projects, one 30 minute presentation, one 45 minute presentation, two big papers, and two tests. on top of all of it I have 17 parties so far this month (jewelry parties for my job.. which is actually gonna be good because I will make good money.. but sill stressful).

This semester had been really tough. Luckily I'm doing good grade wise, but I know I could be doing better. It's been hard being sick a bunch this semester, and dealing with Shane getting really sick. We are just a bunch of sickies in this house these last few months... But anyways, I need to find a way to keep myself motivated. The end is in sight, and with only a month until graduation, it somehow feels far away. Although it's not the end of my schooling, it's still going to be cool to be done with one chapter, and to start a next.

I'm really excited to start my masters next year, but am somehow stressing about it already since I just decided on going all the way and getting a PhD. I have to get really good grades in the masters program in order to get accepted to a PhD program... I'm hoping I can rock it out since the classes are at night, and I'm better with night classes. And it might be weird that I am stressing about things that haven't happened yet, but if you know me, you know I plan like 5-10 years in the future. I'm a HUGE planner.

If anyone has any relaxation tips, I will be happy to read them.
